2012 a year of miracles

Miracles of the Year: (that my pregnancy brain can remember)

1. We bought our first house. The time that it took us to close, the ward we live in, the friends we have, the family growth that has happened as a result..... so many more blessings.

2. We found out we would be welcoming Baby GIRL #2 in February 2013. The pregnancy has been horrific. But from all the trials have come the little things. Friends dropping off food, taking Katie, the miracles of the baby staying in til now despite the many body issues, false labor and pre labor issues. We were told last week that Baby could come anytime now and though I hope we make it a few more weeks (currently at #33) I am so glad we made it this far. I also found out that with recent changes, I will be allowed to breast feed her while taking my anti-depressants. I have had to be off of them for the last trimester and had resigned myself to the fact that I would be bottle feeding. I am still feeling so overwhelmed with that miracle. I was not expecting it.

3. I quit my job. This seems like the biggest blessing right now. In the past month our family dynamic has changed dramatically. I cant even begin to explain it. The first five days after quiting, Katie giggled non stop. She was so happy.

4+. We have had countless other blessings. A dishwasher, secret Santa's, a squished phone, gas in the car lasting longer than it should, maternity clothes being dropped of, a fully potty trained child, food, emotional growth, the list could go on and on. Many times I feel like God has said "Watch what I can do for you, just trust me."

We approach the new year with many hardships and hopes. Though it is easy to focus too much on the future, we are trying to live in the here and now. One day at a time, one trial at a time, and many blessings at once.
